June 1, 2005

Analog Pixel President Brad Benjamin, has joined the AIGA Los Angeles (AIGA/LA) Board as co-VP of the Communications Committee. Brad will serve a two-year term on the board through May 2007.

In May of 2004 Brad began serving as webmaster of the chapter’s highly acclaimed website (www.aigalosangeles.org). While his duties as webmaster will continue, he will now see his duties expand to include additional chapter and national responsibilities involving the online communications arena.

In recent months, Brad has helped to re-launch the chapter’s email marketing efforts in partnership with Emma®. With a monthly newsletter titled sync, and bi-weekly updates on current events, readership of the newsletter consistently averages an impressive open rate of over 50 percent. “With the increasing cost of printed invitations and postage, and the increased number of websites vying for our time, permission-based marketing has proven to be an effective tool in reaching and expanding our audience,” stated Benjamin. He added “'I look forward to building upon what my predecessors have started—we’ve got a lot of things planned—not just in the Los Angeles chapter, but on the national level as well.”
